History

The Cedar Valley was home to the Fremont Indians. The City of Eagle Mountain boasts several rare petroglyphsbelieved to have been created by the Premont Indians. The ancient artwork shows three dancing figures. The site has been incorporated into a park preserve.

Demographics

As of the 2000 census, the median household income was $65,117. The population was 2,157. The median age of the Eagle Mountain residence was 21.1 years old. Families represent 94.4% of the population.

As of December 12, 2008 there were 301 sales in Eagle Mountain City. Of the 301 sales, 35 were condos. Eagle Mountain City had 1,337 listings. All but 10 of the sales in Eagle Mountain were between$140,000 and $350,000. More than 1/2 of the sales in Eagle Mountain were FHA financed. The average days on the market were 71 days.
