Cedar Hills Utah

Cedar Hills History

Cedar Hills City is built upon an alluvial fan or bench, created thousands of years ago when it was a shoreline of Lake Bonneville. Early settlers referred to as “The Bench”. Because of the growth of cedar tress the area was later known as Cedar Hills. Cedar Hills City was established as a community in 1977. Farming in Cedar Hills City proved to be less than fruitful. The bench became a turkey ranch in the early 1900’s.
