Alpine Utah

History

As of the 2000 census, the population of Alpine City was 7,146. Alpine City has been one of the many fast growing cities of Utah. Located in the Wasatch Range, Alpine city is just north of Highland and American Fork. Alpine got its name from Brigham Young who thought the town reminded him of the Swiss Alps. Alpine covers approximately 7.2 square miles. There are many mountain biking and hiking rails.

As of the 2000 census, there was a population of 7,146 in Alpine. There were 1,662 households. 63.7% households in Alpine had children under the age of 18 living with them. The median income was $72,880. Despite being a fairly small town, Alpine is home to four schools.
